What isTitanium Era's refund policy?
All products by Titanium Era are custom made to order, a return fee applies to all items returned for refund. 25% Return Fee per item, *35% on hand carved rings. The return fee covers our losses on shipping/handling and fabrication.
Do you make custom rings? When can an aircraft grade titanium ring be resized? And how?
Titanium rings cannot be stretched or shrunken like gold or platinum rings. We can resize our titanium rings larger by a ¼ size. If the ring is too big or much too small resizing is not possible, a remake is needed. See
resizing for details. A titanium ring is enlarged by shaving a small layer of titanium off the interior of the ring.
Do you make custom rings?
All rings are custom made to the customer’s specifications. To find out about models or designs not on our site,
email us a picture along with ring details. One of our reps will let you know if it is possible, as well as price quote and turn around time.
What is the best way to determine ring size?
The most accurate way to learn your ring size is to visit at least one jeweler. Try on a ring in the width you intend on purchasing. Ring size is very important, as titanium rings are not always possible to resize. It is best to avoid any remake fees. See
Size info for more details.
Where do I choose comfort fit or straight fit?
All our rings are made with Comfort Fit, the inside edges are rounded for a smooth fit.
What is the difference between titanium grades?
At Titanium era, we offer two grades of aircraft grade titanium: 6Al-4V, which is made up of 90% titanium, 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium and the 6Al-6V-2Sn, which is 86% titanium 6% aluminum, 6% vanadium and 2% tin. They are both very strong and extremely lightweight.
Is the free engraving on the interior of the ring?
Yes, the free engraving is on the inside of the ring only. It is done using a diamond point engraving machine. Handwritten and printed fonts are available.
Can I get something engraved on the exterior of the ring?
Yes it is possible, but it is not offered free. To find out about pricing,
email us what you would like, specify font and size.
How do I get my titanium ring repolished?
Any ring purchased from Titanium Era, can be sent back for refinishing. This service is offered free of charge, all you have to pay is shipping. For information on returning a ring for refinishing follow instructions in our
Warranty section.
What if a titanium ring gets stuck on my finger?
If a titanium ring gets stuck on your finger add a little soap or hand cream, and it should come off easily. If your finger gets injured and swells, the ring can be cut off using a ring cutting tool. You will not have to lose a finger.
Can I supply my own stone to be set in a tension setting?
Yes this is possible. All stones sent to Titanium Era must have a minimum Mohs hardness of 8, be diamond cuts, and loose. All diamonds should be sent with a copy of the stone’s certification. Titanium Era has the right to refuse to set a stone, if we believe the quality is too poor to withstand the tension setting.
Contact us by email or phone, before sending out a stone.
What’s the best way to send a diamond or precious stone?
To send a diamond or precious stone to us, use FedEx or the US postal service’s Express. Don’t send it by UPS. (US residents ship to our NY address) For residents in Canada or overseas, send FedEx to our Canadian location. Send the stone with a printout of the filled in order form, for the ring model chosen.
How durable are Cubic Zirconias?
Cubic Zirconias are fairly durable but not the most ideal stone for a tension setting. They are only meant to be a temporary stone. They look very nice and last for a while, but eventually they will crack or develop scratches. We will replace cracked Cubic Zirconias in rings made by Titanium Era any time, free of charge, however there is a shipping cost of $6 USD. For customers looking for a more permanent stone, a harder stone would be preferred. (ie: Diamond, Sapphire or Ruby).
Are cracked stones covered in your warranty?
Titanium Era is not liable for damages occurring to stones once they are in the possession of the customer. The harder stones (Diamond, Sapphire, Ruby) generally will not crack. This question refers mainly to the softer stones such as Amethyst, Garnet and Tourmeline. These stones are fairly inexpensive and if well cared for will last a very long time, but if a ring gets banged hard or dropped they can very well crack. In this event the ring can be returned to Titanium Era, the customer can either supply their own stone or purchase one from us. It is important that the new stone be the same diameter as the original.
Can you set lab-created diamonds in your tension settings?
No, we can not. We have tried setting Moissonites and Nexus "lab-created diamonds", but their molecular structure makes them weak, they crack very easily when set in a tension setting. Even though their MOHS hardness is comparable to a real diamond, they are not suitable for titanium tension settings.
